After many breathtaking hours observing beautiful sites over northern New England, it occurred to me that many of the people who live on these ponds and other scenic locations never enjoy the views that I enjoy as a pilot so I launched my new idea; Take high quality aerial imagery of the pristine landscape of northern New England and share it with the people who would greatly enjoy the view that I see from the air.
The plane known as The Green Parrot because of its unique color scheme was the bird that allowed me to obtain these images, so the business was created, Green Parrot Aerials and I have been taking aerial images ever since that moment.
Welcome to my website! My name is Wayne Peabody. I own and operate Green Parrot Aerials located in Denmark, Maine. I began my flying career in 1972 training in sailplanes followed by single engine land aircraft.
With a professional background in photogrammetry and satellite remote sensing, I started a topographic mapping business with additional services in remote sensing data collection, which I operated successfully for fifteen years. In recent years after taken full-time residency at my cabin on Hancock Pond, I obtained my seaplane rating and purchased my PA-12 Supercruiser on floats.
